19 Missouri natives to compete
Out of the 84 players competing in the event, 19 juniors will be represent their home state at the Bass Pro Shops / Payne Stewart Junior Championship.
AJGA returns to the Rivercut Golf Course
This annual tournament is in its eighth year and will return to Springfield, yet again, for the 54-hole, stroke play tournament. Rivercut Golf Course has been the sole host of this event since its inaugural year in 2007.
A stacked field
In the Girls Division, six players are ranked within the top 200 in the Polo Golf Rankings, including two juniors who are within the top 65. The Boys Division includes two players who are ranked within the top 200 in the Polo Golf Rankings. The field features eight AJGA champions, including the 2013 champions from the Bass Pro Shops / Payne Stewart Junior Championship.

The 2013 champions at the Bass Pro Shops / Payne Stewart Junior Championship are returning to defend their titles. Last year, Derick Kelting of Amarillo, Texas, shot a final-round 4-under-par 68 for a tournament-total 213. Alison Armstrong of Tampa, Florida, shot a final-round 8-over-par 80 for a tournament-total 225 to win the Girls Division.

Media Accommodations

The Bass Pro Shops / Payne Stewart Junior Championship will have AJGA communications representatives on hand to assist media throughout the week. Prior to the tournament the AJGA will provide information about the event and its participants, as well as assist with player interviews.

After each round, media officials on-site will write a recap with the day's results. These will be emailed to all media outlets. Interviews with AJGA Tournament Directors, Tournament Chairmen and juniors may be conducted before or after tournament rounds.

About the AJGA

The American Junior Golf Association is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the overall growth and development of young men and women who aspire to earn college golf scholarships through competitive junior golf.
