Remembering Harvey Penick
Harvey Penick, PGA professional and coach to many Hall of Fame players, was an Austin native. Penick was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 2002, seven years following his death and penned the book "Harvey Penick's Little Red Book." The book is filled with easily understood golf anecdotes and is one of the highest selling golf book ever published. Penick was passionate about students and the game of golf, in addition to coaching professionals such as Davis Love and Betsy Rawls. Penick coached at the University of Texas from 1931 to 1963.
