SCPGA Toyota Tour Cup at Bear Creek Golf Club

Bear Creek Golf Club, Murrieta, California

Boys Division:

Alexander Yang of Carlsbad, California, opened play with an even-par 72 to take an early lead and win wire-to-wire in the Boys Division.  Yang carded five birdies in the first round and two in the second, allowing him to finish the weekend with a 4-over-par 148. The eigth grader has competed in 13 AJGA events, earning eight top-10 finishes. He is ranked No. 49 in the AJGA Rankings.

Girls Division: 

Thirteen-year-old Amari Avery won wire-to-wire in the Girls Division. Avery carded five birdies in the first round, finishing the day with a 3-under-par 69. She won the tournament by 10 strokes at 2-under-par 142. Avery competed in the 2017 PING Heather Farr Classic, where she finished T17.

Junior Tour of Northern California - Spring Series V

Darkhourse Golf Club, Auburn, California

Boys Division:

Lucas Carper of San Jose, California, finished with an eight-stroke lead to win the Boys Division. Carper shot consecutive rounds under par to win at 5-under-par 139 The University of California, Davis verbal commit has competed in nine AJGA events, with his highest finish coming at the 2015 Bishops Gate Golf Academy Junior at Centennial.

Kentucky Junior Masters Invitational

Kenne Trace Golf Club, Nicholasville, Kentucky

Boys Division:

University of Kentucky verbal commit Cullan Brown carded consecutive rounds under par to win the Boys Division by two strokes. The Eddyville, Kentucky, native finished the tournament with a 5-under-par 139. This was his third consecutive Kentucky Junior Masters Invitational win. Since 2013, Brown has competed 16 AJGA events, winning the 2016 Bass Pro Shops / Payne Stewart Junior Championship. He was also named to the 2016 Transamerica Scholastic Honor Roll and was a 2016 Honorable Mention Rolex Junior All-American.

Girls 16-18 Division:

Jenny Kim of Heathrow, Florida, shot a 1-under-par 71 in the final round to take the lead and win the Girls Division. Kim's 1-over-par 145 gave her a two-stroke win. The Lake Mary High School junior has already competed in three AJGA events in 2017. She is verbally committed to the University of South Florida.
