Emilia Migliaccio of Cary, North Carolina, won the 34th Annual Scott Robertson Memorial Golf Tournament at Roanoke Country Club on May 21. At the end of the final round, she was tied with another AJGA golfer, Alexa Pano. In the playoff that ensued, it took three holes for Migliaccio to claim the Scott Robertson Memorial Golf Tournament title for a record third straight year. A three-time Rolex Junior All-American, Migliaccio has signed a National Letter of Intent to compete at Wake Forest University next year.
Bradley McKeating, of Calgary, Alberta, competed in the Canadian Junior Golf Association’s Junior at RedTail in Leduc, Alberta. McKeating went wire to wire and finished at 2-under-par 142. The 16-year-old shot an eagle and eight birdies over two rounds to solidify his win. McKeating made his AJGA debut at the 2016 Sunriver Junior Open in Sunriver, Oregon.
On May 20, Susan Xiao of Surrey, British Columbia, won the Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour’s Vancouver Junior Championship at University Golf Club. The 15-year-old recorded 13 birdies over three rounds to finish at 7-under-par 209. Xiao has competed with the AJGA for two years. Her last tournament was the New Era Junior Championship, where she finished T7.
Ty Celone of Long Sault, Ontario, competed in the 36-hole Junior Spring Classic at Wooden Sticks Golf Club. After an 8-over-par 80 in the first round, Celone shaved seven strokes off in the second round to finish T10. The 18-year-old sunk two birdies on the front nine of the second round to help stave off the close competition. Celone’s last AJGA competition was the 2016 Under Armour® Canadian Championship.
