Clay Merchent of Noblesville, Indiana, led the way for Team Baltusrol at the Jimmy Walker Challenge after winning all three of his matches. His biggest win of the match-play event came during Saturday Morning Foursomes when he and partner Joseph Pagdin of Orlando, Florida, defeated Jackson Van Paris of Pinehurst, North Carolina, and Scott Roden of Dallas, 7&6. The pair finished the front nine at 5-under-par 31.
Marisa Damore of Westlake Village, California, won the SCPGA Golf Pride Players Tour 2-Day at Morongo by nine strokes after carding a tournament-total 3-over-par 147. Damore competed at the AJGA Junior All-Star at Morongo.
Zachary Bailey of Germantown, Tennessee, won the Boys 16-18 Division at the Huntsville Junior Shootout by one stroke after carding a final-round 68 to finish the tournament with a two-day total of even-par 144. His 4-under-par 68 matched the lowest of the tournament. Bailey’s best AJGA finish of 2017 came in July at the Lockton Kansas City Junior at T31.
