AJGA alum returns to the AJGA
Morgan Hoffmann put together an impressive AJGA resume from 2004-08. He completed his career with four AJGA victories, including Invitational crowns at the 2006 Polo Golf Junior Classic and the 2007 Junior PLAYERS Championship presented by TaylorMade-adidas Golf. In 2007 he was named a first-team Rolex Junior All-American and was a member of the East Wyndham Cup team. The 2008 high school graduate went on to play college golf at Oklahoma State University, before turning professional in 2010.
Hoffmann joins prestigious list of PGA TOUR pros to host AJGA tournament
Hoffmann is just one of many PGA TOUR professionals who have added their name to the 2014 AJGA schedule. He joins Hunter Mahan, Gary Woodland, Jeff Overton, Scott Stallings, Ryan Moore, Webb Simpson, Patrick Reed and Jordan Spieth to support AJGA tournaments in 2014.
New Jersey players compete against nation's best
Twenty-six junior golfers from New Jersey will highlight the field. John Pak of Scotch Plains, New Jersey, and Alice Chen of Princeton, New Jersey, are the highest-ranked local players.

Top Players to Watch

Timothy Colanta, Reunion, Fla. (2015)
Currently No. 52 in the Polo Golf Rankings, Colanta amassed seven top-10 finishes including two AJGA titles, the first coming at the 2010 Aldila Junior All-Star and the latest at the 2014 AJGA St. Louis Junior where he shot a first-round 7-under-par 64. The rising senior recently placed ninth at the 2014 Junior PGA Championship and has verbally committed to the University of Maryland.
John Pak, Scotch Plains, N.J. (2017)
Pak is the highest-ranked local boy in the field. He has collected three top-five finishes in the past two seasons including his first AJGA title at the 2014 AJGA Annapolis Junior. He recently advanced to the Round of 32 at the 2014 U.S. Junior Amateur Championship.
Alice Chen, Princeton, N.J. (2014)
Chen is the highest-ranked player in the field at No. 46 in the Polo Golf Rankings. She won the 2013 Lessing’s AJGA Classic, in addition to six top-five showings in AJGA play spanning 2009-14. The 2013 Rolex Junior All-American also advanced to match play at the 2012 U.S. Women’s Amateur Public Links Championship. Chen has signed with Furman University and will compete for the Paladins beginning this fall.
Jiyoon Jang, (South Korea) Rancho Mirage, Calif. (2016)
Jang has notched five top-10 finishes in AJGA competition since 2013, including back-to-back runner-up finishes in her first two events. The 16-year-old finished in the top 20 at the Callaway Junior World Golf Championships and advanced to the Round of 32 at the U.S. Girl's Junior Amateur Championship. She comes off the U.S. Women's Amateur Championship where she advanced to stroke play.
Jackie Rogowicz, Yardley, Pa. (2015)
Rogowicz medaled in her first AJGA event, the Preseason Junior at Basking Ridge, and went on to finish runner-up five times. She has already found success in 2014. She posted a runner-up finish at the AJGA Junior at Cattail Creek and tied for 25th at the Rolex Girls Junior Championship where she shot a final-round 67, her best AJGA round. The rising senior is No. 87 in the Polo Golf Rankings and has verbally committed to Penn State.

Media Accommodations

The AJGA Junior hosted by Morgan Hoffmann will have AJGA communications representatives on hand to assist media throughout the week. Prior to the tournament the AJGA will provide information about the event and its participants, as well as assist with player interviews.

After each round, media officials on-site will write a recap with the day's results. These will be emailed to all media outlets. Interviews with AJGA Tournament Directors, Tournament Chairmen and juniors may be conducted before or after tournament rounds.

About the AJGA

The American Junior Golf Association is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the overall growth and development of young men and women who aspire to earn college golf scholarships through competitive junior golf. The AJGA provides valuable exposure for college golf scholarships, and has an annual junior membership (boys and girls, ages 12-18) of more than 6,300 members from 48 states and more than 50 foreign countries. Through initiatives like the Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) Grant, a financial assistance program, and Leadership Links, a service-oriented platform that teaches juniors charitable-giving skills, the AJGA fosters the growth of golf’s next generation.
