Future local teammates compete
Davis Holman of Yorba Linda, Calif., will compete in his second Midwest Junior Players Championship while Patrick Murphy of River Forest, Ill., will compete in his third. Both will be teammates at nearby Northern Illinois University starting in the fall.
Calbi siblings make a second appearance
Julia and Thomas Calbi will compete in the Midwest Junior Players Championship for the second time in the past three years. Julia finished T7 in 2012 while Thomas finished T39. This will mark the seventh time the siblings have competed together in AJGA events and second of 2014.

Top Players to Watch

Kenneth Li, Westmont, Ill. (2016)
Li comes into the Midwest Junior Players Championship as the top-ranked boy in the field at No. 148 in the Polo Golf Rankings. The Westmont, Ill., native has notched seven top-10 finishes in his AJGA career, including a fourth-place finish at the 2013 AJGA / CJGA Junior Championship.
Nathan Pirtle, Sullivan, Ind. (2015)
Pirtle, a Purdue verbal commit, makes his debut at Mistwood Golf Club. Hailing from Sullivan, Ind., Pirtle has amassed four top-20 finishes since 2010, including a victory at the 2013 PNC Bank Junior Championship presented by London & Laurel County.
Allyson Geer, Brighton, Mich. (2017)
The Michigan State verbal commit is the top-ranked player in the field at No. 50 in the Polo Golf Rankings. The owner of six top-five finishes has also accumulated two victories, most recently at the 2014 Junior All-Star at Château Élan.
Kesaree Rojanapeansatith, Nonthaburi, Thailand (2017)
Rojanapeansatith has finished in the top-five in three of the five AJGA events she has participated in, including a win at the 2013 David Toms Foundation Shreveport Junior. The Nonthaburi, Thailand, native sits at No. 92 in the Polo Golf Rankings.

Media Accommodations

The Midwest Junior Players Championship will have AJGA communications representatives on hand to assist media throughout the week. Prior to the tournament the AJGA will provide information about the event and its participants, as well as assist with player interviews.

After each round, media officials on-site will write a recap with the day's results. These will be emailed to all media outlets. Interviews with AJGA Tournament Directors, Tournament Chairmen and juniors may be conducted before or after tournament rounds.

About the AJGA

The American Junior Golf Association is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the overall growth and development of young men and women who aspire to earn college golf scholarships through competitive junior golf. The AJGA provides valuable exposure for college golf scholarships, and has an annual junior membership (boys and girls, ages 12-18) of more than 6,300 members from 48 states and more than 50 foreign countries. Through initiatives like the Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) Grant, a financial assistance program, and Leadership Links, a service-oriented platform that teaches juniors charitable-giving skills, the AJGA fosters the growth of golf’s next generation.
