AJGA returns to Abilene Country Club
The Abilene Country Club will be hosting the annual event, which is in its 34th year, for the eighth consecutive time since 2007. The 2013 champions include Travis Benson of Granbury, Texas, and Vanessa Ha of Allen, Texas.

Top Players to Watch

Mitchell Meissner, San Antonio, Texas (2014)
At No. 249 in the Polo Golf Rankings, Meissner is the highest-ranked boy in the field. The 17-year-old began playing AJGA events in 2011 and has already put together eight top-20 finishes. The 2013 HP Scholastic Junior All-American placed T11 at the 2013 Aaron's / Bob Estes Abilene Junior and has signed a National Letter of Intent with Rice University.
Jake Mccrory, Deer Park, Texas (2014)
Currently No. 280 in the Polo Golf Rankings, McCrory is the second highest-ranked boy in the field. One of the four AJGA champions in the field, McCrory is entering the tournament after a sixth place finish at the 2014 BilliardFactory.com Junior Championship hosted by Patrick Reed. The 18-year-old has signed a National Letter of Intent with Sam Houston State.
Binny Lee, Frisco, Texas (2017)
Binny Lee is the highest-ranked girl in the field at No. 97 in the Polo Golf Rankings. Since 2011, Lee has accumulated seven top-10 finishes, including three runner-up finishes.
Chaithra Katamneni, (India) Coppell, Texas (2015)
Katamneni began playing in AJGA events in 2012 and has amassed six top-10 finishes. The 17-year-old is currently No. 188 in the Polo Golf Rankings.
Brooke McDougald, The Woodlands, Texas (2015)
Brooke McDougald is one of the four champions in the field and the only two-time champion. Since 2010, McDougald has put together nine top-10 finishes in AJGA competition. The 2012 honorable mention Rolex Junior All-American has verbally committed to play at Texas Christian University.

Media Accommodations

The Aaron's / Bob Estes Abilene Junior will have AJGA communications representatives on hand to assist media throughout the week. Prior to the tournament the AJGA will provide information about the event and its participants, as well as assist with player interviews.

After each round, media officials on-site will write a recap with the day's results. These will be emailed to all media outlets. Interviews with AJGA Tournament Directors, Tournament Chairmen and juniors may be conducted before or after tournament rounds.

About the AJGA

The American Junior Golf Association is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the overall growth and development of young men and women who aspire to earn college golf scholarships through competitive junior golf. The AJGA provides valuable exposure for college golf scholarships, and has an annual junior membership (boys and girls ages 12-18) of approximately 6,000 junior golfers from 49 states and more than 50 countries. To ensure scholarship opportunities for all junior golfers who have the skill, the AJGA created the Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) Grant program to provide financial assistance to young players in need.

Titleist, the AJGA's National Sponsor, has been the catalyst and driving force behind the Association's success since 1989. Rolex, which is in its fourth decade of AJGA support, became the inaugural AJGA Premier Partner in 2004. In 2007, after 12 years of support, Ralph Lauren became the AJGA's second Premier Partner.

AJGA alumni have risen to the top of amateur, collegiate and professional golf. Former AJGA juniors have compiled more than 500 victories on the PGA and LPGA Tours.
