Esteemed Alumnus
Contested at Stonebriar Country Club, the Under Armour® / Hunter Mahan Championship is hosted by PGA TOUR professional and AJGA alum Hunter Mahan. The former Rolex Junior Player of the Year is ever present in the AJGA family, supporting multiple events, including The PING Invitational played at his alma mater's home course, and serving as AJGA National Chairman.

Top Players to Watch

Ryan Grider, Lewisville, Texas (2017)
At No. 73 in the Polo Golf Rankings, Ryan Grider is the highest-ranked player in the Boys Division. Grider notched four top-10 showings in 2013, including a T5 finish at the 2013 Under Armour® / Hunter Mahan Championship. Grider has verbally committed to Southern Methodist University.
Benjamin Baxter, Flower Mound, Texas (2014)
With five top-10 showings in his career, Benjamin Baxter is T104 in the Polo Golf Rankings. Baxter has signed a National Letter of Intent with Southern Methodist University.
Brandon Smith, Frisco, Texas (2015)
Brandon Smith is the highest-ranked Frisco local in the field. With a verbal commitment to Texas A&M University and a career-best T9 finish at the 2013 David Toms Foundation Shreveport Junior, Smith makes his Under Armour® / Hunter Mahan Championship debut.
Maddie Szeryk, Allen, Texas (2014)
At No. 21 in the Polo Golf Rankings, Maddie Szeryk is the highest-ranked player in the field. The two-time AJGA champion and two-time Rolex Junior All-American has posted 12 top-five finishes in national competition. Szeryk, a future Texas A&M Aggie women's golfer, has notched two runner-up finishes in three attempts at the Under Armour® / Hunter Mahan Championship.
Gabriela Coello, (Venezuela) Winter Garden, Fla. (2016)
In her first year playing with the AJGA in 2013, Gabriela Coello placed among the top-10 in four of her five starts, as well as advanced to match play at the Polo Golf Junior Classic. At No. 46 in the Polo Golf Rankings, Coello will make her Under Armour® / Hunter Mahan Championship debut.
Courtney Dow, Frisco, Texas (2016)
Courtney Dow is No. 63 in the Polo Golf Rankings and is the highest-ranked player from Frisco in the field. In 2013, Dow collected her first AJGA victory at the Junior All-Star at Galloping Hill. Dow is verbally committed to Texas A&M University and looks to improve on her T5 finish at the 2013 Under Armour® / Hunter Mahan Championship.

Media Accommodations

The Under Armour® / Hunter Mahan Championship will have AJGA communications representatives on hand to assist media throughout the week. Prior to the tournament the AJGA will provide information about the event and its participants, as well as assist with player interviews.

After each round, media officials on-site will write a recap with the day's results. These will be emailed to all media outlets. Interviews with AJGA Tournament Directors, Tournament Chairmen and juniors may be conducted before or after tournament rounds.

About the AJGA

The American Junior Golf Association is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the overall growth and development of young men and women who aspire to earn college golf scholarships through competitive junior golf. The AJGA provides valuable exposure for college golf scholarships, and has an annual junior membership (boys and girls ages 12-18) of approximately 6,000 junior golfers from 49 states and more than 50 countries. To ensure scholarship opportunities for all junior golfers who have the skill, the AJGA created the Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) Grant program to provide financial assistance to young players in need.

AJGA alumni have risen to the top of amateur, collegiate and professional golf. Former AJGA juniors have compiled more than 500 victories on the PGA and LPGA Tours.
