Two from Ellicott City take to the links
Cody Lissner, a rising senior at Mount Saint Joseph High School, is competing in his fifth career AJGA competition. Lissner's highest finish to date came at the 2012 Preseason Junior at Cripple Creek where he finished tied for tenth. Killian Casson, a rising junior at Catonsville High School, is competing in just her second AJGA competition. Earlier this year, she placed tied for eighth at the 2012 Preseason Junior at Nemacolin.
Welcome David Leadbetter
Legendary golf coach, David Leadbetter, teams up with the AJGA for the first time in 2013, sponsoring two events on the AJGA schedule. Earlier this year, Leadbetter joined with GolfPride Grips to host the Golf Pride / David Leadbetter Junior Classic in ChampionsGate, Fla.
Wisner to continue golf career at Loyola - Maryland
Bennett Wisner of Hampstead, Md., has given a verbal commitment to continue his golf career at the University of Loyola - Maryland in the fall of 2014. Currently a senior at Boy's Latin School of Maryland, Wisner's highest career AJGA finish was a tie for 15th at the 2013 Preseason Junior at St. James Plantation.
AJGA visits Turf Valley Resort for the first time
Turf Valley, located in Howard County, Md., is home to two 18-hole golf courses, the Original Course and the Hialeah Course. The JoS. A. Bank / David Leadbetter Championship will be played on Turf Valley's Original Course. The Original Course, the more traditional of the two, allows golfers to play through the heart of the Turf Valley.

Top Players to Watch

Jake Leavitt, Woodstock, Md. (2014)
Leavitt, the highest-ranked player in the Boys Division field at No. 185 in the Polo Golf Rankings, took home his first AJGA Championship in early July at the AJGA Annapolis Junior. In Annapolis, Leavitt recorded rounds of 68-71-70 to finish with a tournament total 7-under-par 209.
Nathan Tenpas, Chevy Chase, Md. (2014)
Tenpas, a rising senior at Bethesda Chevy Chase High School, finished in third at the Bubba Conlee National Junior after posting scores of 66-72-72, a tournament total of 6-under-par 210. Tenpas' highest-career finish at an AJGA event came at this year's Preseason Junior at Blue Heron Hills where he finished tied for 14th.
Mitchell Meissner, San Antonio, Texas (2014)
With two top-10 finishes in AJGA competition in 2013, Meissner is in the hunt for his first career AJGA victory. Meissner's highest-career finish came at the 2013 Preseason Junior at Cimarron Hills where rounds of 78-76--154 put him in fifth place.
Julie Luo, Centreville, Va. (2015)
Luo is the highest-ranked player in the fied at No. 58 on the Polo Golf Ranking. In 2012, Luo won the Woodward Video Junior at The Greenbrier after posting scores of 70-68-72, a tournament total of 210. In addition to her win, Luo has four other top-5 finishes on her AJGA resume including a third place finish at the 2012 William Penn Junior Championship.
Bryana Nguyen, Columbia, Md. (2014)
A senior at Atholton High School in Columbia, Md., and No. 75 in the Polo Golf Rankings, Nguyen has given a verbal commitment to play college golf at the University of North Carolina in the fall of 2014. In 2012, Nguyen won the Under Armour® / Steve Marino Championship with scores of 67-77-72, a tournament total even-par 216.

Media Accommodations

The JoS. A. Bank / David Leadbetter Championship will have AJGA communications representatives on hand to assist media throughout the week. Prior to the tournament the AJGA will provide information about the event and its participants, as well as assist with player interviews.

After each round, media officials on-site will write a recap with the day's results. These will be emailed to all media outlets. Interviews with AJGA Tournament Directors, Tournament Chairmen and juniors may be conducted before or after tournament rounds.

About the AJGA

The American Junior Golf Association is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the overall growth and development of young men and women who aspire to earn college golf scholarships through competitive junior golf. The AJGA provides valuable exposure for college golf scholarships, and has an annual junior membership (boys and girls ages 12-18) of approximately 6,000 junior golfers from 49 states and more than 50 countries. To ensure scholarship opportunities for all junior golfers who have the skill, the AJGA created the Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) Grant program to provide financial assistance to young players in need.
