PGA TOUR support
The Memorial Junior receives support and sponsorship from one of the most prestigious tournaments on the PGA TOUR, the Memorial Tournament presented by Nationwide Insurance. The Memorial has been a part of an AJGA tournament in Ohio since 2004.
Return to Ohio State
Ohio State University’s Scarlet Course returns to the AJGA's schedule by hosting the Memorial Junior in 2013. OSU has hosted six AJGA events, including the 1999 and 2007 Rolex Tournament of Champions.
Future Buckeyes to compete
Four Ohio State University commits will preview their new home course when they compete in the Memorial Junior. Clark Engle of Springfield, Ohio, Jessica Porvasnik of Hinckley, Ohio and Josh Wick of Upper Arlington, Ohio have signed National Letters of Intent with the Buckeyes, while Nikolette Schroeder of Avon Lake, Ohio has verbally committed.

Top Players to Watch

Clark Engle, Springfield, Ohio (2013)
Finishing T2 in 2012, Engle looks to clinch his first AJGA career win. He sits at No. 129 in the Polo Golf Rankings and has signed a National Letter of Intent with the Buckeyes to play college golf at Ohio State.
Fred Allen Meyer, Nicholasville, Ky. (2014)
Sitting at No. 98 in the Polo Golf Rankings, Meyer looks to finish at the top of the leaderboard at the Memorial Junior. He earned three top-three finishes in 2012 and received a Rolex Junior All-America honorable mention. Meyer has verbally committed to Kentucky.
Nikolette Schroeder, Avon Lake, Ohio (2015)
The Memorial Junior 2012 runner-up, Schroeder looks to finish on top in 2013. She finished top-three three times in 2012 in national competition and has verbally committed to Ohio State.
Jessica Porvasnik, Hinckley, Ohio (2013)
Sitting at No. 89 in the Polo Golf Rankings, Porvasnik returns to the Memorial Junior after finishing third in 2012. She was victorious at the 2011 and 2012 Cleveland Junior Open and the 2011 Junior All-Star at Stonelick Hills. She received a Rolex Junior All-America honorable mention in 2012 and has signed a National Letter of Intent with Ohio State.

Media Accommodations

the Memorial Junior will have AJGA communications representatives on hand to assist media throughout the week. Prior to the tournament the AJGA will provide information about the event and its participants, as well as assist with player interviews.

After each round, media officials on-site will write a recap with the day's results. These will be emailed to all media outlets. Interviews with AJGA Tournament Directors, Tournament Chairmen and juniors may be conducted before or after tournament rounds.

About the AJGA

The American Junior Golf Association is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the overall growth and development of young men and women who aspire to earn college golf scholarships through competitive junior golf. The AJGA provides valuable exposure for college golf scholarships, and has an annual junior membership (boys and girls, ages 12-18) of more than 6,300 members from 48 states and more than 50 foreign countries. Through initiatives like the Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) Grant, a financial assistance program, and Leadership Links, a service-oriented platform that teaches juniors charitable-giving skills, the AJGA fosters the growth of golf’s next generation.

Titleist, the AJGA's National Sponsor, has been the catalyst and driving force behind the Association's success since 1989. Rolex, which is in its fourth decade of AJGA support, became the inaugural AJGA Premier Partner in 2004. In 2007, after 12 years of support, Ralph Lauren became the AJGA's second Premier Partner.

AJGA alumni have risen to the top of amateur, collegiate and professional golf. Former AJGA juniors have compiled more than 600 victories on the PGA and LPGA Tours.
