Overton returns to host AJGA event
PGA TOUR pro and former Indiana University standout Jeff Overton returns to his home state for the second-annual Under Armour® / Jeff Overton Championship. Overton's AJGA career is highlighted by a tie for fourth at the 2001 AJGA PING Myrtle Beach Junior Classic and a place on the 2001 Rolex Junior All-America team.
Future Hoosiers
Located less than an hour from Bloomington, the home of Indiana University, Otter Creek Golf Course will play host to two future Hoosiers. Brendon Doyle (Louisville, Ky.) and Matthew Weber (Saint Charles, Ill.) have both given verbal commitments to play at Indiana University in the fall of 2014.

Top Players to Watch

Matthew Weber, Saint Charles, Ill. (2014)
Weber, who has given a verbal commitment to continue his golf career at Indiana University, won the 2012 McArthur Towel & Sports Future Legends with scores of 69-70-73 for a tournament total of 4-under-par 212. Prior to that win, Weber placed in fourth at the 2011 Junior All-Star at Eagle Ridge.
Brendon Doyle, Louisville, Ky. (2014)
Currently at No. 40 in the Polo Golf Rankings, Doyle is the highest ranked player in the Boys Division. A verbal commitment to Indiana University, Doyle tied for second at the 2012 Woodward Video Junior at The Greenbrier after putting together rounds of 70-70-64 for a tournament total 204.
Nick Carlson, Hamilton, Mich. (2015)
Carlson, a high school sophomore, is playing in his first AJGA event of 2013. In 2012, Carlson recorded a top-10 finish at the AJGA Stonehenge Junior Open and carded rounds of 74-75-69 for a tournament-total 218 to win the Randy Wise Junior Open.
Shawn Rennegarbe, Addieville, Ill. (2014)
Rennegarbe, the top-ranked player in the Girls Division at No. 51 in the Polo Golf Rankings, finished in the top-10 at the 2013 Rolex Girls Junior Championship after putting together rounds of 75-69-71-75 for a tournament-total 3-over-par 291. A high school senior, who has verbally committed to the University of Arkansas, Rennegarbe looks to take home her first AJGA victory since her win at the 2011 Junior All-Star at Eagle Ridge.
Sarah Kolodzik, Bellbrook, Ohio (2014)
Kolodzik, a high school senior, has four top-10 finishes in her AJGA career. Her highest finish came at the 2012 Lockton Kansas City Junior where rounds of 74-78-75 for a tournament total 227, put her in a tie for seventh place. Kolodzik also placed in a tie for fifth at the 2012 Women's Western Junior.

Media Accommodations

The Under Armour® / Jeff Overton Championship hosted by Otter Creek will have AJGA communications representatives on hand to assist media throughout the week. Prior to the tournament the AJGA will provide information about the event and its participants, as well as assist with player interviews.

After each round, media officials on-site will write a recap with the day's results. These will be emailed to all media outlets. Interviews with AJGA Tournament Directors, Tournament Chairmen and juniors may be conducted before or after tournament rounds.

About the AJGA

The American Junior Golf Association is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the overall growth and development of young men and women who aspire to earn college golf scholarships through competitive junior golf. The AJGA provides valuable exposure for college golf scholarships, and has an annual junior membership (boys and girls, ages 12-18) of more than 6,300 members from 48 states and more than 50 foreign countries. Through initiatives like the Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) Grant, a financial assistance program, and Leadership Links, a service-oriented platform that teaches juniors charitable-giving skills, the AJGA fosters the growth of golf’s next generation.
