A new beginning
The Arrowhead Junior Golf Tour (AJGT) joined the AJGA in 2013 as title sponsor of the Arrowhead Junior at The Bluffs. The AJGT is a junior golf program serving the Alabama, Dallas, Florida Panhandle, Houston, Louisiana, Mississippi and Shreveport areas.
Déjà vu
The 2012 Junior All-Star at Ocala hosted by Ocala-Marion Sports Commission champion Bailey Tardy of Norcross, Ga., and runner-up Payton Schanen, an Alpharetta, Ga., native, will meet again at the Arrowhead Junior at The Bluffs. Tardy led or shared the lead after all three rounds en route to a wire-to-wire victory at Golden Ocala Golf and Equestrian Club.

Top Players to Watch

Peter Thorseth, Richmond, Texas (2014)
At No. 16 in the Polo Golf Rankings, Thorseth won the 2013 Goodman Networks at Traditions. He also finished second in the 2012 Junior Championship and finished among the top 10 in each of his four AJGA showings. Thorseth has notched seven top-10 AJGA finishes in his career.

2012 Junior All-Star at Eagle Ridge champion Carter will look to add another win to his resume at The Bluffs Country Club and Resort.
Bailey Tardy, Norcross, Ga. (2015)
Tardy takes on the Arrowhead Junior at The Bluffs coming off a T15 finish at Rolex Girls Junior Championship and T4 finish at the AJGA Junior at Quad Cities. In 2012, she collected two victories at the AJGA Junior at River Ridge and the Junior All-Star at Ocala hosted by Ocala-Marion Sports Commission.
Payton Schanen, Milton, Ga. (2015)
Schanen finsihed T6 twice earlier this season at the TaylorMade-adidas Golf Junior All-Star at Château Élan and the AJGA Junior at Steelwood presented by AT&T. She also recorded two T2 finishes in 2012 at the Evitt Foundation RTC Junior All-Star and Junior All-Star at Ocala hosted by Ocala-Marion Sports Commission.

Media Accommodations

The Arrowhead Junior at The Bluffs will have AJGA communications representatives on hand to assist media throughout the week. Prior to the tournament the AJGA will provide information about the event and its participants, as well as assist with player interviews.

After each round, media officials on-site will write a recap with the day's results. These will be emailed to all media outlets. Interviews with AJGA Tournament Directors, Tournament Chairmen and juniors may be conducted before or after tournament rounds.

About the AJGA

The American Junior Golf Association is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the overall growth and development of young men and women who aspire to earn college golf scholarships through competitive junior golf. The AJGA provides valuable exposure for college golf scholarships, and has an annual junior membership (boys and girls, ages 12-18) of more than 6,300 members from 48 states and more than 50 foreign countries. Through initiatives like the Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) Grant, a financial assistance program, and Leadership Links, a service-oriented platform that teaches juniors charitable-giving skills, the AJGA fosters the growth of golf’s next generation.
