Top Players to Watch

Jake DeZoort, Tuscaloosa, Ala. (2015)
DeZoort is participating in his third AJGA event of the 2013 season and the sixth Gary Gilchrist Golf Academy Junior All-Star event of his career. His highest finish to date came at the 2012 Evitt Foundation RTC Junior All-Star where he placed T14 with scores of 70-73-75-218.
Andy Ogletree, Little Rock, Miss. (2016)
At the 2012 Preseason Junior at Sterling, Ogletree shot a 79-74-153 to take home a third-place finish. The rising high school sophomore will look to improve on his T22 finish in March at the 2013 TaylorMade-adidas Golf Junior All-Star at Château Élan.
Ty Olinger, Blacksburg, Va. (2016)
The 2013 Junior All-Star at Gray Plantation will be Olinger's seventh career AJGA event. His highest finish came at the 2012 PBE Qualifier - Ocala where he shot a 76 to finish T18.
Kaitlyn Papp, Austin, Texas (2017)
At the 2013 Goodman Networks Junior at Traditions, Papp finished T6 with scores of 75-76-72-223. Last year, at the 2012 PBE Qualifier - Norman, Papp earned medalist honors with a score of 3-under-par 69.
Megan Carter, Blackshear, Ga. (2015)
Carter finished fifth at the 2012 Evitt Foundation RTC Junior All-Star with a score of 76-74-74-224. Carter, a rising high school junior, will look to take home another top finish at the Junior All-Star at Gray Plantation.

Media Accommodations

The Junior All-Star at Gray Plantation will have AJGA communications representatives on hand to assist media throughout the week. Prior to the tournament the AJGA will provide information about the event and its participants, as well as assist with player interviews.

After each round, media officials on-site will write a recap with the day's results. These will be emailed to all media outlets. Interviews with AJGA Tournament Directors, Tournament Chairmen and juniors may be conducted before or after tournament rounds.

Junior All-Star Series

The Junior All-Star at Gray Plantation is one of 15 events in the Junior All-Star Series. Specifically designed for boys and girls ages 12-15, the Junior All-Star Series presents opportunities for younger players to develop their skills and earn entry into AJGA Open tournaments. The Series concludes with the Junior All-Star Invitational sponsored by NIKEGOLF over Columbus Day weekend for winners and top finishers in Junior All-Star Series events.

About the AJGA

The American Junior Golf Association is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the overall growth and development of young men and women who aspire to earn college golf scholarships through competitive junior golf. The AJGA provides valuable exposure for college golf scholarships, and has an annual junior membership (boys and girls, ages 12-18) of more than 6,300 members from 48 states and more than 50 foreign countries. Through initiatives like the Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) Grant, a financial assistance program, and Leadership Links, a service-oriented platform that teaches juniors charitable-giving skills, the AJGA fosters the growth of golf’s next generation.

AJGA alumni have risen to the top of amateur, collegiate and professional golf. Former AJGA juniors have compiled more than 600 victories on the PGA and LPGA Tours.
