| AJGA QUALIFIER CANCELLED AT EMERALD GREENS GOLF RESORT & COUNTRY CLUB
Performance Based Entry determines field for the First American Title Junior Classic
TAMPA, Fla. — Heavy rainfall and
thunderstorms forced the American Junior Golf Association Tournament Committee
to cancel the AJGA Qualifier for the First American Title Junior Classic
Sunday. Nine boys and four girls were selected via Performance Based Entry to
compete in the tournament June 23-26 at Avila Golf & Country Club.
“It was unfortunate that we had to cancel the
qualifier due to thunderstorms,” said AJGA Tournament Director Stephanie
Schwartz. “Our number one priority is the safety of our members, while doing
all we can to play golf and maintain the condition of the course. We're hoping
it clears up and are looking forward to a great week here in Tampa.”
Qualifying in the Boys Division were Joseph
Byun of Sanford, Fla., Fu Xue of Orlando, Fla., Billy Stevens of Venice, Fla.,

Huang of Cheng Du, China, and Jack Twomey of Tampa, Fla.
The qualifiers in the Girls Division
consisted of Kelly Drack of Melbourne, Fla., Jessica Alexander of Riverview, Fla., Ana Garcia of Niceville, Fla., and Shannon Pak of Kenner, La.
