LONG HOLDS 2-STROKE LEAD HEADING INTO FINAL ROUND
Duncan fires 68 in second round of the First American Title Junior Classic

LUTZ, Fla.β€” Adam Long of Defiance, Mo., and Lindy Duncan of Plantation, Fla., both moved into first Wednesday after the second round of the First American Title Junior Classic with 3-under-par 68s in their respective divisions.

Conducted by the American Junior Golf Association, the eighth-annual First American Title Junior Classic is a 54-hole stroke-play competition featuring 84 boys and girls from 12 states and five foreign countries. Home to the PGA TOUR's Outback Steakhouse Pro-Am, TPC Tampa Bay is hosting the event for the first time.

In the Boys Division, Long, who carded a 139 tournament total, fired five birdies on the day and attributed his success to great putting.

β€œYou have to putt well to shoot under par,” Long said. β€œI had a lot of good par putts.”

Besides his short game, Long said his irons were working in his 3-under-par round.

β€œI hit 14 greens and only missed two fairways,” Long said. β€œLately, I have been strong with my irons.”

Following three strokes behind Long and tied for second are Carl Santos-Ocampo from Naples, Fla., and Fletcher Coonan of Maitland, Fla. Carding a 145 tournament total was Brooks Koepka of Wellington, Fla., while Chun Hung Chan took over fifth with a 146.
