In addition to winning four tournaments and having
the best scoring average in NCAA Division III, Olivia Lugar, a freshman at Washington University in St. Louis, can
add receiving the PING National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA) National Player
of the Year and NGCA Freshman of the Year awards to her list of accomplishments.
Lugar notched eight top-10 finishes in the
2011/2012 season highlighted by a ninth place finish at the NCAA Division III
Championship, a tie for first at the NCAA Tournament Preview, and racking up
wins at the Pat Clouse Invitational, O’Brien National Invitational and Millikin
University Fall Classic.
As a junior, Lugar finished top-10 in three of the
eight AJGA tournaments she competed in between 2008 and 2011, with her best
finish being fourth place in the AJGA Junior at Quad Cities. She earned the
status of HP Scholastic Junior All-American in 2010 for her academic success.
AJGA alum Erynne
Lee ended her freshman year by being named the NGCA Division I Freshman of
the Year. The UCLA golfer recorded six top-10 finishes in her collegiate debut,
and earned a victory at the Pacific Coast Intercollegiate in April.
Prior to her career at UCLA, Lee recorded 18 top-10
finishes in AJGA tournaments between 2005 and 2011, earning victories at the Goodman
Networks Junior at Traditions in 2010 and the AJGA Junior at Wenatchee in 2008.
The three-time Rolex Junior All-American, also appeared in the Wyndham Cup in
both 2008 and 2010, posting a combined record of 4-4-0.
Tulane senior and AJGA Alumni Stephanie Wagstaff was one of three recipients of the Kim Moore
Spirit Award. The award recognizes golfers or coaches who possess a good spirit
towards the game of golf, maintain a positive attitude on the course, and act
as a role model for their team when it comes to facing challenges.
Wagstaff finished top-10 in eight of her AJGA
appearances, posting second place finishes at the Golf Pride Junior Classic and
SAP Junior Open in 2007. She earned the status of HP Scholastic All-American
and honorable mention Rolex Junior All-American in 2007.
Additionally, many AJGA Alumni earned the status
of NCGA All-American in their respective divisions.
