BRASELTON, Ga. — Winn Grips, a golf industry leader in high-performance golf grip technology, will be the Official Grip Partner of the American Junior Golf Association, the AJGA announced on Monday, Nov. 16.  Winn Grips will sponsor the Winn Grips Heather Farr Classic hosted by Longbow Golf Club, will remain the Preferred Grip of the Gary Gilchrist Golf Academy Junior All-Star Series and will continue to provide grips and grip services to AJGA members at select tournaments.

Additionally, in 2010 Winn Grips will debut the Winn Junior Cup Challenge, a tournament series featuring select events across the country.  The Challenge will give high finishers at those events the opportunity to win a trip to Las Vegas to play and compete with Winn Grips spokespersons Butch Harmon and Natalie Gulbis.  The Challenge will kick-off Easter weekend 2010 with four events, including the Winn Grips Heather Farr Classic presented by Longbow Golf Club, which will be attended by Harmon and Gulbis.

The American Junior Golf Association is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the overall growth and development of young men and women who aspire to earn college golf scholarships through competitive junior golf. The AJGA, the largest Association of its kind, has an annual junior membership (boys and girls ages 12-18) of approximately 5,000 junior golfers from 49 states and 30 foreign countries.

AJGA alumni have risen to the top of amateur, collegiate and professional golf. More than 200 former AJGA juniors currently play on the PGA and LPGA Tours and have compiled more than 350 wins. What is Leadership Links?

Leadership Links is a new program whereby the AJGA is able to further its mission to help develop young men and women by teaching charitable giving skills and service-oriented practices at an early age. This program gives juniors all the tools necessary to donate their time, talent and resources to local charities and the AJGA youth development programs.
