My Scotty Cameron Moment

Each week, the AJGA honors the boy and girl junior golfers who shoot the lowest round during the final tournament round. Each of these players will be presented with one of this year's new Scotty Cameron putter covers in silver or gold. In this feature, we will hear from the players each week who take home this honor and what helped them get there.

Junior All-Star at Petersburg

“I holed-out from about 92 yards for eagle,” said Kyle Wilshire of Georgetown, Ky., who fired a final-round 5-under-par 67. “I hit it about a foot over the pin and it sucked it back in. It was a great shot.”

“I had long putts and not a lot of birdie chances,” said tournament champion Yueer Cindy Feng of Orlando, Fla., who shot an even-par 72. “So I just kept making par. It was okay.”

Old Second Bank Junior Championship at Aurora

“The eagle I had on No. 16 was one of the greatest moments for me today,” said Kyle Kopsick of Lake Bluff, Ill., who shot a 4-under-par 68 to win the tournament. “I hit driver, 6-iron to about 20 feet and sunk the putt.”

“No. 4 probably was the hole of the day for me,” said Lindsay Danielson of Osceola, Wis., who shot a 1-under-par 71. “I flew the hole but the ball landed about four feet away and I was able to make the putt for birdie.”

Junior All-Star at Lubbock hosted by Randy Smith

"I made three straight birdies on Nos. 9, 10 and 11,” said Henry Todd of Trophy Club, Texas, who carded a final-round 3-under-par 69. “On No. 9, I was greenside in two and made a good putt for birdie. On No. 10, I had a good shot and flirted with the water and made another good putt."

"On No. 10, I knocked my approach shot stiff and made a clutch putt for birdie,” said champion Tiffany Lim of San Jose, Calif., who fired a 2-under-par 70. “It just kept getting better."

Fidelity Investments Junior Classic at the Bay Club

“I have been ripping up that stretch (Nos. 11-13) since the practice round and it has been huge for my confidence,” said Blake Morris of Waterburt, Conn.,  who shot a 2-under-par 69 during the second-round of the rain-shortened event. “I just felt like I could birdie all of those holes, and I went out and got it done today.”

“No. 17 was definitely my best hole of the day. I used my pitching wedge from about 100 yards out to stick it within two feet,” said Olivia Chang of San Lorenzo, Calif., who carded an even-par 71. “It gave me an easy birdie opportunity, and thankfully I was able to capitalize.”
