Amateur Roundup

The Curtis Cup, held May 30- June 1 at St. Andrews Golf Course in Scotland, proved to be an impressive showing of former and current AJGA members. The U.S. Team was lead to victory by Stacy Lewis, who won her final match 3 and 2, beating Liz Bennett of the Great Britain and Ireland Team. Lewis finished her first Curtis Cup with an undefeated five for five record. Alison Walshe was the only other undefeated American, winning four of four matches. These notable finishes were just the beginning for the team. Amanda Blumenherst beat Jodi Ewart 2 and 1 and current AJGA member Kimberly Kim was victorious, 3 and 1, over Breanne Loucks. The rest of the U.S. Team was comprised of current AJGA member Mina Harigae, former AJGA juniors Jennie Lee and Tiffany Joh, and Meghan Bolger.
