Q & A with...Rachel Morris!

You're from Southern California, one of the top vacation spots in the U.S. Where do you like to travel to on vacation?

R: I like to go to Palm Springs to play golf. The weather is warm and they have a lot of nice golf courses.

Rachel started playing golf when she was seven.

How did you start playing golf?

R: I started playing when I was seven. I would go to the driving range with my Dad.

We know teenage girls love to shop. If you got a day-long shopping spree, where would you go?

R: I would go to Abercrombie & Fitch, Hollister, Forever 21 and Papaya. And then maybe a golf store!

If you had to give up chocolate or french fries for an entire year, which would you chose?

R: French fries - chocolate is a must!

Do you carry anything sentimental with you in your golf bag on the course?

R: I always carry my USC Trojan head cover.

Rachel couldn't go a year without chocolate!

You travel all over the country for golf tournaments. Have you had any crazy travel experiences?

R: When I went to Florida, the plane flew through a thunderstorm. It felt like a roller coaster! People on the plane were screaming!

What are the three most-played songs on your iPod?

R: "Put Your Records On" by Corrine Bailey Rae, "What Hurts the Most" by Rascal Flatts, and "Far Away" by Nickelback.

What is your most memorable golf shot?

R: I eagled No. 9 at last year's ReBath Heather Farr Classic by making an eagle putt. That was exciting!

Leadership Links

What is Leadership Links?

Leadership Links is a new program whereby the AJGA is able to further its mission to help develop young men and women by teaching charitable giving skills and service-oriented practices at an early age. This program gives juniors all the tools necessary to donate their time, talent and resources to local charities and the AJGA youth development programs.
