YLC President's Award Nominations Sought

Katrina Delen-Briones and Adam Michel, pictured with AJGA Board President Gayle Champagne and USGA President Walter Driver, were the inaugural President's Youth Leadership Award recipients.

Each year, a President’s Youth Leadership Award is awarded to one girl and one boy who have demonstrated leadership skills, character and community service through their involvement with the USGA • AJGA Youth Leadership club. In 2006, Katrina Delen-Briones of San Francisco and Adam Michel of Ordina, Calif., were honored for their exemplary community volunteerism. The application process for 2007 is now underway.

In order to be considered for the award, the AJGA must receive the following by April 6, 2007:

  • Completed application form (Click Here to Download)
  • All volunteer hours logged in the AJGA Player Center
  • One letter of recommendation from an organization with which you volunteered. Please note that your volunteer hours can be outside of golf.
  • An essay describing your volunteer experience in 500 words of less. Please address how this particular experience impacted you and the importance of volunteerism for the future of the game of golf.
Application materials should be mailed, together, to:
