Taylore Karle of Scottsdale,
Ariz., finished tied for 53rd at the LPGA Safeway International
presented by Coca-Cola. The 16-year-old finished with
a 5-over-par 293, including a final-round 71. She birdied
three of her final four holes in the second round to
make the cut on the number.

Virginia
Tech claimed its first victory of the season at the
Furman Intercollegiate. The Hokies posted rounds of
297-286-290 for a 54-hole total of 9-over-par 873.
Jayson Judy of Elon shot rounds of 71-71-69 for a 5-under-par
211 to claim the individual title.
Indiana captured its second consecutive
victory at the Pinehurst Invitational on March 20 with
a 16-over-par 880. Purdue placed first at the 61st
Annual Western Intercollegiate on March 20 with a team
total 9-over-par 849. Xavier's John Streibich won
the individual title with an 11-under-par 199.
The Auburn women took first place at
the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic on March 25 with
a 29-over-par 881. Virginia's Leah
Wigger birdied the
first hole of a sudden-death playoff to claim the individual
title with a 2-over-par 215.

World Golf Championships - CA Championship at Doral
Golf Resort & Spa with a 10-under-par 278. It is his
13th World Golf Championship title in 24 tries. |
