Morgan Pressel of Boca Raton, Fla., will make her next AJGA apperance at the Rolex Tournament of Champions at Sunriver Resort in Oregon after winning the North and South Women's Amateur.

Newsmakers (June 27): Pressel Captures North and South Women's Amateur Championship

Morgan Pressel of Boca Raton, Fla., defeated Lisa Ferrero, a senior at the University of Texas and former Rolex Tournament of Champions winner, 1-Up at the North and South Women’s Amateur Championship at Pinehurst No. 2.

Paula Creamer continued to make an impression on the LPGA Tour, finishing 13th at the Wegmans Rochester International Presented by Lincoln Mercury. A week ago Creamer tied for second at the ShopRite LPGA Classic.

Angela Park of Torrance, Calif., and In-Bee Park of Eustis, Fla., both advanced to the semifinals of the Women's Amateur Public Links Championship before falling to Michelle Wie and Ya-Ni Tseng, respectively. Tseng went on to win 1-Up over Wie in the final.

ACE

The Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) Grant program provides financial assistance to junior golfers who wish to play in AJGA events. Its goal is to give top-flight golf opportunities to young golfers regardless of financial resources. This program helps to fulfill the AJGA’s mission of developing young men and women who aspire to earn college golf scholarships through competitive junior golf.
Leadership Links

What is Leadership Links?

Leadership Links is a new program whereby the AJGA is able to further its mission to help develop young men and women by teaching charitable giving skills and service-oriented practices at an early age. This program gives juniors all the tools necessary to donate their time, talent and resources to local charities and the AJGA youth development programs.
