Newsmakers (Oct. 24): Janangelo Leads Duke to Record-Breaking Win

Liz Janangelo, a three-time Rolex Junior All-American, carded rounds of 70-67-65 — 202, to claim individual honors at the Stanford Pepsi Intercollegiate. Janangelo's dominating weekend highlighted a record-breaking performance for the Blue Devils, who carded a school-record round of 271 Sunday and finished with a school record 54-hole total of 834.

Duke's 18-under-par total earned them an impressive victory over UCLA (861), Southern California (863), Pepperdine (869) and Arizona State (882).

Finishing second behind Janangelo were teammates Anna Grzebien and Amanda Blumenherst with 4-under-par 209s.

Magical Finish Gives Glover Victory at Disney

Lucas Glover's final-round 65 at the Funai Classic at Disney gave the AJGA alum his first PGA TOUR victory on Sunday. Glover, a three-time Rolex Junior All-American and member of two East Canon Cup Teams, made a 40-foot birdie putt on No. 17 and followed it up with a 35-yard bunker shot on No. 18 that fell into the cup for birdie.

Glover's remarkable finish gave him a 23-under-par 265 total for the weekend. Finishing one shot behind was Tom Pernice, Jr., who missed a birdie putt on the 72nd hole, which would have forced a playoff.

Creamer Wins Again in Japan

Paula Creamer, the 2003 Rolex Junior Player of the Year, birdied the first playoff hole to win the Masters GC Ladies in Miki, Japan. The victory was Creamer's second on the Japan tour and fourth of her professional career.

Creamer sealed the victory with an 8-foot birdie putt on the par-4 18th after Chieko Amanuma missed a 15-foot putt for birdie.
