Golf's next generation
Of the event's 21 participants who have committed to play collegiate golf, 11 will continue their careers at colleges or universities in the state of Texas.
Rolex Junior All-Americans
The field contains two players who have received Rolex Junior All-America honors. Hailee Cooper of Montgomery, Texas and Wes Artac of Kingwood, Texas. Combined, they have 18 top-10 finishes, including two wins.

Top Players to Watch

Wes Artac, Kingwood, Texas (2014)
At No. 70 in the Polo Golf Rankings, Artac is the third highest-ranked boy in the field. The Texas Tech commit has tallied five top-10 finishes in AJGA competition, including a victory at the 2013 Genesis Shootout presented by the Valero Texas Open.
Noah Goodwin, Corinth, Texas (2018)
Goodwin enters the tournament as the highest-ranked boy in the field at T56 in the Polo Golf Rankings. The 14-year-old is in his second year of AJGA events. He has played in four AJGA events this year, securing a victory at the Evitt Foundation RTC Junior All-Star, two fourth-place finishes and a fifth-place finish.
Brandon Smith, Frisco, Texas (2015)
At No. 65 in the Polo Golf Rankings, Smith is the second highest-ranked boy in the field. He has played in AJGA events for three years. The 17-year-old has compiled four top-15 finishes including a win an the 2014 Under Armour® / Hunter Mahan Championship. Smith is coming off a runner up finish at the David Toms Foundation Shreveport Junior and has made a verbal commitment to Texas A&M University.
Hailee Cooper, Montgomery, Texas (2018)
At No. 57 in the Polo Golf Ranking Cooper is the highest-ranked player in the field. She has put together an impressive 13 top-10 finishes in AJGA events, including a win at the 2013 Junior All-Star at Gray Plantation. She has competed in 16 AJGA events and has never finished outside the top 20.
Katharine Patrick, West University Place, Texas (2015)
Currently ranked No. 77 in the Polo Golf Rankings, Patrick is the second highest-ranked girl in the field. She has claimed eight top-10 finishes over her four years playing AJGA events, including victories at the 2011 Under Armour® / Steve Marino Junior All-Star Championship and most recently, the 2014 David Toms Foundation Shreveport Junior. She has made a verbal commitment to the University of Virginia.

Media Accommodations

The Goodman Networks Junior at Timarron will have AJGA communications representatives on hand to assist media throughout the week. Prior to the tournament the AJGA will provide information about the event and its participants, as well as assist with player interviews.

After each round, media officials on-site will write a recap with the day's results. These will be emailed to all media outlets. Interviews with AJGA Tournament Directors, Tournament Chairmen and juniors may be conducted before or after tournament rounds.

About the AJGA

The American Junior Golf Association is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the overall growth and development of young men and women who aspire to earn college golf scholarships through competitive junior golf. The AJGA provides valuable exposure for college golf scholarships, and has an annual junior membership (boys and girls, ages 12-18) of more than 6,300 members from 48 states and more than 50 foreign countries. Through initiatives like the Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) Grant, a financial assistance program, and Leadership Links, a service-oriented platform that teaches juniors charitable-giving skills, the AJGA fosters the growth of golf’s next generation.
