Top Players to Watch

Michael Hodson, Amarillo, Texas (2015)
Hodson returns to the AJGA Kansas Junior at Buffalo Dunes after a T2 finish in 2013. Hodson, who is playing in his fifth AJGA season, has amassed four top-10 finishes in his career. In addition to the 2013 AJGA Kansas Junior at Buffalo Dunes, he placed seventh at the Aaron's / Bob Estes Abilene Junior, third at the 2012 Aspen Golf Junior Classic and T10 at the Junior All-Star at Stonelick Hills.
Tate Tatom, Gallatin Gateway, Mont. (2015)
With just two AJGA events under his belt, Tatom looks to build on his momentum from 2013. Tatom's best finish came at the 2013 AJGA Junior at Centennial where he fired rounds of 73-72-69--214 to finish in a tie for fifth.
Courtney Dow, Frisco, Texas (2016)
Dow, a verbal commit to Texas A&M University, has two AJGA victories under her belt. Dow won the 2012 Sooner Junior All-Star with tournament rounds of 72-69-71--212 and the 2013 Junior All-Star at Galloping Hill with scores of 67-77-69--213. Dow is currently ranked No. 66 in the Polo Golf Rankings.
Emilee Hoffman, Folsom, Calif. (2016)
Hoffman, No. 42 in the Polo Golf Rankings, is the highest ranked player in the field. She is coming off a 2013 campaign that notched her two victories; the first coming at the Junior All-Star at Mira Vista with scores of 75-76-70-221 and the second coming at the Junior All-Star Invitational sponsored by NIKEGOLF with rounds of 70-72-142.
Alexis Sadeghy, Edmond, Okla. (2014)
Sadeghy, who has given her verbal commitment to Oklahoma State University, is currently No. 78 in the Polo Golf Rankings. Sadeghy started her 2014 season off with a second place finish at the Under Armour® / Hunter Mahan Championship where she finished in second. In total, Sadeghy has collected three top-10 finishes in her AJGA career.

Media Accommodations

The AJGA Kansas Junior at Buffalo Dunes will have AJGA communications representatives on hand to assist media throughout the week. Prior to the tournament the AJGA will provide information about the event and its participants, as well as assist with player interviews.

After each round, media officials on-site will write a recap with the day's results. These will be emailed to all media outlets. Interviews with AJGA Tournament Directors, Tournament Chairmen and juniors may be conducted before or after tournament rounds.

About the AJGA

The American Junior Golf Association is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the overall growth and development of young men and women who aspire to earn college golf scholarships through competitive junior golf. The AJGA provides valuable exposure for college golf scholarships, and has an annual junior membership (boys and girls ages 12-18) of approximately 6,000 junior golfers from 49 states and more than 50 countries. To ensure scholarship opportunities for all junior golfers who have the skill, the AJGA created the Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) Grant program to provide financial assistance to young players in need.
