Spring Valley Country Club is located in Columbia, S.C., on 150 acres of trees, ponds and natural wildflowers that are designed to maintain the area's natural beauty and challenge golfers. The AJGA Junior at Spring Valley marks the first AJGA event held at the course.

Top Players to Watch

Andrew Orischak, Hilton Head Island, S.C. (2017)
At No. 75 in the Polo Golf Rankings Orischak starts his second AJGA season in 2014. In 2013, Orischak played in two events, including the Hank Haney IJGA Junior Open, where he captured his first AJGA victory.
Will Minton, Raleigh, N.C. (2015)
A high school junior, Minton will begin his fifth AJGA season at the AJGA Junior at Spring Valley. Minton looks to build on a successful 2013 season which included two top-10 finishes.
Scott Stevens, Chattanooga, Tenn. (2015)
Stevens was a runner-up at the 2013 Under Armour® / Scott Stallings Championship with tournament rounds of 75-71-72. In 2013, Stevens also finished among the top 15 at the Davis Love III Junior Open.
Lauren Stephenson, Lexington, S.C. (2015)
A two-time Rolex Junior All-American, Stephenson has collected three career AJGA victories, including two in 2013 at the IJGA Junior Open and the Junior All-Star at Château Élan. Stephenson's first win came in 2012 at the Golf Pride Junior Classic.
Ailin Li, (China) Windermere, Fla. (2015)
Li begins her fifth AJGA season in 2014. In 2013, Li compiled five top-10 finishes including a win at the Evitt Foundation RTC Junior All-Star where she recorded tournament rounds of 72-72-68. In 2012, Li captured her first victory at the AJGA Nebraska Junior at Quarry Oaks.

Media Accommodations

The AJGA Junior at Spring Valley will have AJGA communications representatives on hand to assist media throughout the week. Prior to the tournament the AJGA will provide information about the event and its participants, as well as assist with player interviews.

After each round, media officials on-site will write a recap with the day's results. These will be emailed to all media outlets. Interviews with AJGA Tournament Directors, Tournament Chairmen and juniors may be conducted before or after tournament rounds.

About the AJGA

The American Junior Golf Association is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the overall growth and development of young men and women who aspire to earn college golf scholarships through competitive junior golf. The AJGA provides valuable exposure for college golf scholarships, and has an annual junior membership (boys and girls ages 12-18) of approximately 6,000 junior golfers from 49 states and more than 50 countries. To ensure scholarship opportunities for all junior golfers who have the skill, the AJGA created the Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) Grant program to provide financial assistance to young players in need.

AJGA alumni have risen to the top of amateur, collegiate and professional golf. Former AJGA juniors have compiled more than 500 victories on the PGA and LPGA Tours.
