Champions Return
The 2012 Boys and Girls Division champions return in 2013 to defend their titles. Noah Edmondson of Davidson, N.C., and Anne Freman of Las Vegas, will look to become the only repeat victors in the event's seven year history.
Making it a tradition
The Bass Pro Shops / Payne Stewart Junior Championship will return to Springfield, Mo., for the seventh time in 2013, making it the longest-running AJGA event in the state of Missouri. The AJGA has hosted 18 events in six cities in Missouri throughout its history.
The Payne Stewart Foundation supports the AJGA
Payne Stewart was an 11-time winner on the PGA Tour, including three major championships (1989 PGA Championship, 1991 U.S. Open and the 1999 U.S. Open). He grew up in Springfield, Mo., and Bass Pro Shops, the co-sponsor of the event, was one of his first sponsors when we joined the TOUR. He was well known for his sportsmanship, integrity and generosity.

Top Players to Watch

Noah Edmondson, Davidson, N.C. (2015)
The 2015 graduate returns to the 2013 edition of the Bass Pro Shops / Payne Stewart Junior Championship looking to defend his 2012 title. He's the highest ranked boy in the field at No. 94 in the Polo Golf Rankings. He has four top-10 showings in his AJGA career and in 2012 was named an honorable mention Rolex Junior All-American. Edmondson has verbally committed to play collegiate golf at the University of Arkansas.
Wyatt Larkin, Morganton, Ga. (2014)
Larkin arrives at the Bass Pro Shop / Payne Stewart Junior Championship a seasoned veteran of the event. The 2014 graduate recorded his best-career finish at the event in 2011 where he finished runner-up and has two of his seven top-10 career finishes at the event. The 2011 Jerry Cole Sportsmanship Award recipient has found success in 2013, posting T6 and T5 finishes at the Brian Harman Junior Championship and Natural Resources Partners Bluegrass Junior, respectively.
The 2013 graduate returns to the Bass Pro Shops / Payne Stewart Junior Championship in 2013 looking to successfully defend her 2012 title. Freman has collected four top-10 showings during her AJGA career and was named honorable mention Rolex Junior All-American in 2012. At No. 39 in the Polo Golf Rankings, Freman is the highest-ranked girl in the field and has signed a National Letter of Intent with Santa Clara.
The two-time AJGA Champion arrives at the Bass Pro Shops / Payne Stewart Junior Championship on the heels of an appearance at Wyndham Cup, a win at the Under Armour® / Jeff Overton Championship hosted by Otter Creek, and a ninth-place showing at her first AJGA Invitational, the Rolex Girls Junior Championship. The University of Arkansas verbal commit placed second at the 2012 playing of the Bass Pro Shops / Payne Stewart Junior Championship. Rennegarbe is No. 43 in the Polo Golf Rankings.

Media Accommodations

The Bass Pro Shops / Payne Stewart Junior Championship will have AJGA communications representatives on hand to assist media throughout the week. Prior to the tournament the AJGA will provide information about the event and its participants, as well as assist with player interviews.

After each round, media officials on-site will write a recap with the day's results. These will be emailed to all media outlets. Interviews with AJGA Tournament Directors, Tournament Chairmen and juniors may be conducted before or after tournament rounds.

About the AJGA

The American Junior Golf Association is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the overall growth and development of young men and women who aspire to earn college golf scholarships through competitive junior golf. The AJGA provides valuable exposure for college golf scholarships, and has an annual junior membership (boys and girls ages 12-18) of approximately 6,000 junior golfers from 49 states and more than 50 countries. To ensure scholarship opportunities for all junior golfers who have the skill, the AJGA created the Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) Grant program to provide financial assistance to young players in need.

Titleist, the AJGA's National Sponsor, has been the catalyst and driving force behind the Association's success since 1989.
