Angel Yin of Arcadia, Calif., earned the final spot in the Kraft Nabisco Championship field after winning the Southern California Junior Golf Association’s Legacy Junior Challenge with a 5-under-par 67 at Mission Hills Country Club’s Arnold Palmer course.

Thirty California juniors received a spot in the qualifier with a chance to earn a coveted spot in the LPGA Tour field, as well as the opportunity to interact with former Kraft Nabisco champions. Yin’s group was accompanied by 1980 champion Donna Caponi.

Yin previously played Mission Hills in the 2011 ClubCorp Mission Hills Desert Junior where she finished T5 and carded a 69 in the first round.

An honorable mention Rolex Junior All-American, Yin has nine top-10 finishes in national competition, including a victory at the 2011 Joanne Winter Arizona Silver Belle. In 2012, Yin advanced to the finals at the Polo Golf Junior Classic before falling to Ariya Jutanugarn, 5 and 4, in the championship match.. This will be Yin’s second LPGA start as she competed in the 2012 U.S. Women’s Open.

Yin joins Ashlan Ramsey of Milledgeville, Ga., as the only two AJGA juniors in the field.
