Alumni honor roll

Stephanie Meadow led the top-ranked Alabama squad to victory at the Lady Puerto Rico Classic.

The AJGA prides itself on preparing junior golfers for college. The alumni honor roll recognizes past AJGA players who have recently medaled at a college tournament.

Alabama freshman Stephanie Meadow captured back-to-back medalist honors at the Lady Puerto Rico Classic, Feb. 13-15, and the Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate, Feb. 27-Mar. 1. Her 4-under-par 212 helped the top-ranked Crimson Tide to a team victory in the Lady Puerto Rico Classic. At the Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate, Meadow held off the nation’s No. 1 golfer, LSU’s Megan McChrystal, with the help of a career-best 66 in the second round. The wins have moved Meadow to No. 8 in the Golfweek/Sagarin Rankings.

The Oklahoma State men’s team captured a title at the Southern Highlands Collegiate Masters, Mar. 11-13, at Southern Highlands Golf Club in Las Vegas. Morgan Hoffmann led the way for the Cowboys with a 10-under-par 206, earning him medalist honors for the event. A month later at the Aggie Invitational, it was Peter Uihlein who took home medalist honors for the Cowboys with 6-under-par 210. In addition to Hoffmann and Uihlein, AJGA alum Sean Einhaus, Talor Gooch, Drew Page and Kevin Tway, all contributed to the Cowboys’ success.
