Three AJGA alumni captured individual tournament victories last weekend, while two others proved to be tough competition. Megan McChrystal of Louisiana State University led her No. 9 ranked team to a victory, while finishing first individually with a 1-under-par 215 at the Bryan National Collegiate in Brown Summit, N.C. McChrystal earned her second collegiate individual golf title this year. Abby Bools of East Carolina and Nannette Hill of Wake Forest University tied for second at 2-over-par.

At the Lady Rebel Intercollegiate in Oxford, Miss., Dori Carter (University of Mississippi) and Linn Gustafsson (Tulane University) finished the day at 1-over-par 217. Carter defeated Gustafsson in a sudden-death playoff on the fourth hole where she birdied to capture her first tournament victory. Gustafsson’s performance aided Tulane’s 11-stroke victory over Ole Miss. Gustafsson posted a low single-round score of 69 in the final round.

Derek Rende of Chattanooga was a close second with 10-under-par. Chattanooga finished second at 23-under-par and Kent State rounded out the top three at 21-under-par.
