Bob Estes supports AJGA in hometown
Bob Estes, an AJGA alum and two-time Rolex All-American, joined the AJGA to sponsor an event in his hometown in 2006. This event is the third-oldest on the AJGA schedule. The PGA TOUR professional has four career wins in the professional circuit.
Defending Champion returns
Sarah Moore, champion of the 2012 Aaron's / Bob Estes Abilene Junior, is returning to Abilene Country Club to defend her title. In 2012, Moore attributed her win to strong short game play, and finished with a 5-over-par 221.
Local flavor
Eighty of the 144 players in the field call the Lonestar State home. Two players, Bear Bailey and Riley Casey are representing Abilene.

Top Players to Watch

Philip Delisi, Tokyo, Japan (2015)
A junior at Yokota High School, Delisi has three top-25 finishes in 2013 AJGA competition. Delisi's highest AJGA finish in 2013 came at the BilliardFactory.com Junior Championship where he shot rounds of 75-72-73 for a tournament total 220 and a T3 showing.
Nick Heinen, Edmond, Okla. (2014)
In 2011, Heinen claimed medalist honors at the Preseason Junior at Brookhaven, his best AJGA showing. The rising high school senior, who has given a verbal commitment to continue his golf career at Oklahoma State, fired rounds of 73-70 at the 2013 Under Armour® / Hunter Mahan Championship to finish T5.
Isabella Skinner, Cumming, Ga. (2014)
Skinner took home her first AJGA victory at the 2011 Junior All-Star at Hilton Head where rounds of 71-71-78 gave her a tournament total 220. In 2012, Skinner took home three top-5 finishes in AJGA competition, placing third at both the Hank Haney IJGA Junior Open and the CorseMax / Philadelphia Runner Junior and second at the McArthur Towel and Sports Future Legends. Skinner, a rising high school senior, will continue her golf career at Georgia in the fall of 2014.
Emma Ballard, Humble, Texas (2015)
Ballard recorded her best-career finish at this year's Preseason Junior at Cimarron Hills, posting scores of 80-78--158 and earning medalist honors. In 2013, Ballard also placed in the top-10 in both the BilliardFactory.com Junior Championship and the Arrowhead Junior at The Bluffs.

Media Accommodations

The Aaron's / Bob Estes Abilene Junior will have AJGA communications representatives on hand to assist media throughout the week. Prior to the tournament the AJGA will provide information about the event and its participants, as well as assist with player interviews.

After each round, media officials on-site will write a recap with the day's results. These will be emailed to all media outlets. Interviews with AJGA Tournament Directors, Tournament Chairmen and juniors may be conducted before or after tournament rounds.

About the AJGA

The American Junior Golf Association is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the overall growth and development of young men and women who aspire to earn college golf scholarships through competitive junior golf. The AJGA provides valuable exposure for college golf scholarships, and has an annual junior membership (boys and girls, ages 12-18) of more than 6,300 members from 48 states and more than 50 foreign countries. Through initiatives like the Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) Grant, a financial assistance program, and Leadership Links, a service-oriented platform that teaches juniors charitable-giving skills, the AJGA fosters the growth of golf’s next generation.
