Journey to success
Wins in 2012 helped champions Thomas Lim of Moorpark, Calif., and Grace Park of San Jose, Calif., find success. Behind the strength of three top-10s and his victory at Robinson Ranch, Lim collected first-team Rolex Junior All-America honors. Park, who returns in 2013 to defend her title, went on to finish top-10 at the 2012 Junior All-Star Invitational and earned a berth to the 2013 Rolex Girls Junior Championship.
Defending their home state
Since the AJGA began hosting an event at Robinson Ranch Golf Club in 2006, there has only been one champion from outside the state of California. The 2013 field features 70 players from California in the 2013 field.

Cecere will make his second appearance at Robinson Ranch after finishing T26 in 2012. At No. 81 in the Polo Golf Rankings, Cecere won in his AJGA debut, the 2012 Preseason Junior at Oak Valley. He has since collected three top-10 finishes, including a T8 finish at the 2013 Winn Grips Heather Farr Classic hosted by Longbow Golf Club.
Samuel Kim, Irvine, Calif. (2015)
Kim looks to continue his season success after he tied for 11th in his first appearance of the year at the Goodman Networks Junior at Traditions, and claimed his first AJGA win at the Junior All-Star at Cypress Ridge in April.
Lilia Vu, Fountain Valley, Calif. (2015)
At No. 40 in the Polo Golf Rankings, Vu is the highest-ranked girl in the field. Vu will look to add another victory to her record which includes wins in 2010 and 2011. She opened the season with a T3 finish at the Winn Grips Heather Farr Classic hosted by Longbow Golf Club.
Sarah Cho, San Diego, Calif. (2014)
The two-time AJGA champion has finished top-20 in both 2013 AJGA starts. She earned honorable mention Rolex Junior All-America honors in 2012 after collecting five top-15 finishes, highlighted by T3 showings at the AJGA Junior Open at The Legends and ClubCorp Mission Hills Desert Junior. Cho has verbally committed to Northwestern.
Sophia Chen, Thousand Oaks, Calif. (2013)
Chen returns to Robinson Ranch after finishing third in 2012, in addition to three top-five showings last season. A 2013 graduate, Chen will continue her golf career at the University of Pennsylvania.

About the AJGA

The American Junior Golf Association is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the overall growth and development of young men and women who aspire to earn college golf scholarships through competitive junior golf. The AJGA provides valuable exposure for college golf scholarships, and has an annual junior membership (boys and girls ages 12-18) of approximately 6,000 junior golfers from 49 states and more than 50 countries. To ensure scholarship opportunities for all junior golfers who have the skill, the AJGA created the Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) Grant program to provide financial assistance to young players in need.

Titleist, the AJGA's National Sponsor, has been the catalyst and driving force behind the Association's success since 1989. Rolex, which is in its fourth decade of AJGA support, became the inaugural AJGA Premier Partner in 2004. In 2007, after 12 years of support, Ralph Lauren became the AJGA's second Premier Partner.

AJGA alumni have risen to the top of amateur, collegiate and professional golf. Former AJGA juniors have compiled more than 500 victories on the PGA and LPGA Tours. AJGA alumni include Brandt Snedeker, Bubba Watson, Webb Simpson, Hunter Mahan, Phil Mickelson, Tiger Woods, Stacy Lewis, Vicky Hurst, Paula Creamer, Cristie Kerr, Brittany Lincicome and Morgan Pressel.
