Steve Marino supports AJGA event for third year
Under Armour®, a leading developer, marketer and distributor of performance apparel, footwear and accessories, partners with five AJGA alums for events in 2013. Steve Marino joins fellow alums Hunter Mahan, Vicky Hurst and Gary Woodland in supporting AJGA events.
Weston Hills Country Club hosts AJGA event
The 2013 Under Armour® / Steve Marino Championship will be played on Weston Hills Country Club's Tour Course. The Tour Course, a Robert Trent Jones, Jr. design, is one of two of the esteemed designers courses at the club. Weston Hills Country Club has an esteemed history, hosting the PGA Honda Classic from 1992-1995, the Dan Marino Celebrity Invitational from 1992-2001, the LPGA Chrysler Plymouth Tournament of Champions in 1997 and USGA qualifying events.

Top Players to Watch

Charles Wang, (China) Bradenton, Fla. (2014)
With two top-10 finishes in his AJGA career, Wang looks to take home his first AJGA victory this year. In 2012, Wang placed T8 at the Matt Snodgrass Las Vegas Junior and T4 at the Ravenwood Junior Championship.
Payton Taylor, Vero Beach, Fla. (2014)
At the 2012 Peninsula Junior Classic, Taylor shot rounds of 78-74-72-224 to finish T5, his highest career AJGA finish. A verbal commit to the University of Wisconsin, Taylor is competing in his fourth AJGA tournament of 2013.
Daniela Darquea, Quito, Ecuador (2013)
The highest ranked player in the Girls Division field at No. 81 on the Polo Golf Rankings, Darquea will continue her golf career in the fall at the University of Miami. Two weeks ago, Darquea took home her first AJGA victory, winning the 2013 AJGA Kansas Junior at Buffalo Dunes. Prior to her first victory, Darquea had recorded two top-three finishes in AJGA play, a T3 finish at the 2012 AJGA Junior Open at The Legends and a T2 finish at the 2012 Genesis Junior Championship.
Dree Fausnaugh, Maitland, Fla. (2015)
In 2012, Fausnaugh recorded 5 top-5 finishes in AJGA competition, earning her honorable mention Rolex Junior All-American recognition. This rising junior recently shot rounds of 73-79-152 to finish T13 at the 2013 Brian Harman Junior Championship contested during the first weekend in May.

Media Accommodations

The Under Armour® / Steve Marino Championship will have AJGA communications representatives on hand to assist media throughout the week. Prior to the tournament the AJGA will provide information about the event and its participants, as well as assist with player interviews.

After each round, media officials on-site will write a recap with the day's results. These will be emailed to all media outlets. Interviews with AJGA Tournament Directors, Tournament Chairmen and juniors may be conducted before or after tournament rounds.

About the AJGA

The American Junior Golf Association is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the overall growth and development of young men and women who aspire to earn college golf scholarships through competitive junior golf. The AJGA provides valuable exposure for college golf scholarships, and has an annual junior membership (boys and girls ages 12-18) of approximately 6,000 junior golfers from 49 states and more than 50 countries. To ensure scholarship opportunities for all junior golfers who have the skill, the AJGA created the Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) Grant program to provide financial assistance to young players in need.

Titleist, the AJGA's National Sponsor, has been the catalyst and driving force behind the Association's success since 1989. Rolex, which is in its fourth decade of AJGA support, became the inaugural AJGA Premier Partner in 2004. In 2007, after 12 years of support, Ralph Lauren became the AJGA's second Premier Partner.

AJGA alumni have risen to the top of amateur, collegiate and professional golf. Former AJGA juniors have compiled more than 500 victories on the PGA and LPGA Tours.
