By Layne Saliba, AJGA Communications

Ollie Schniederjans won the Air Capital Classic presented by Aetna on Sunday after a three-man playoff with Colin Morikawa and J.J. Spaun. Schniederjans is the youngest player to win on the Web.com Tour this season and the third rookie to win in 2016. The victory moves him from No. 14 to No. 3 on the money list with $245,713.

Schniederjans competed in 12 AJGA events and had nine top-10 finishes with a win at the 2009 Polo Golf Junior Classic. He was a first-team Rolex Junior All-American in 2010 before attending Georgia Tech where he was named ACC Player of the Year during his junior and senior year.

The International Crown rosters have been set and the AJGA has players on six of the eight teams. Lexi Thompson and Stacy Lewis will represent the No. 2-seeded United States team, Ayaka Watanabe will represent No. 3 Japan, Minjee Lee will represent No. 4 Australia, Candie Kung and Ssuchia Cheng will represent No. 5 Chinese Taipei, Ariya and Moriya Jutanugarn will represent No. 6 Thailand and Simin Feng will represent No. 8 China.

Combined, these nine players won 23 AJGA tournaments as juniors.

Yani Tseng and Shanshan Feng will also take part in the International Crown, representing Chinese Taipei and China, respectively. Although they are not members of the AJGA, they both recognize the importance of junior golf and, in turn, host their own tournaments. Tseng will host her event, the Yani Tseng Invitational presented by Swinging Skirts on July 5-8 in Pleasanton, California, while Feng will host hers, the AJGA Shanshan Feng Junior Championship , in August in Chico, California.

During the second round of the BMW International Open, Sergio Garcia carded an ace on the 11th hole. He would end up finishing T5 at 10-under-par 278, coming from T40 after the first round. Although his golf performance helped him finish within the top-five, Garcia’s dance moves are what helped him win the internet.
