Just outside of Atlanta, nestled in the hills of lake country, is a golf course that stands out amongst the rest. Designed by architect Jack Nicklaus in 1992, the Great Waters Course lies on the shores of Lake Oconee. The Great Waters Course is ranked one of the Top 100 courses in the nation and offers some of the most beautiful, jaw-dropping golf scenery in Georgia, with nine holes of the course bordering the shoreline of Lake Oconee.

Along with beautiful scenery, LINKS Magazine labeled it as one of the 10 most influential courses within the last twenty years. While the lake offers eye-catching views, it also provides a level of difficulty to the golfers on the course. The golf course has gone through some major renovations, such as a complete turf change from bentgrass to MiniVerde Bermuda and the restoration of the shapes and sizes of the greens, to modernize the course for years to come.

On the grounds of the Reynolds Lake Oconee sits The Kingdom . Originally named the Dave Pelz Short Game School, The Kingdom has been at Reynolds Lake Oconee for the last thirteen years. At The Kingdom, professionals use TOUR-proven technology to help players get their clubs fitted, receive one-on-one coaching and view their swing from every angle using the MAT-T (Motion Analysis Technology by TaylorMade) System.

Players' clubs can also be built on site in the TaylorMade Tour Trailer. There are also two hitting bays and a practice range that tracks club head speed, ball speed and much more. The Kingdom is ranked one of the top ten golf schools in the United States by LINKS Magazine.

It is safe to say that Lake Oconee is the home one of the best golf courses and golf schools in the United States, and on Tuesday, 132 junior golfers will spend their week at the iconic golf course as The Great Waters Course at Reynolds Lake Oconee hosts their first AJGA Rolex Tournament of Champions event.
