Team USA Captures Toyota World Junior Golf Cup

Team USA, consisting of AJGA members Erik Flores of Grass Valley, Calif., Michael Green of Augusta, Ga., Nick Smith of Ocala, Fla., and Matthew Swan of Montgomery, Ala., won the Toyota World Junior Golf Cup held in Tokyo last week. Flores also took top honors in the individual competition, finishing at 20-under-par for the tournament. Read the Golf Coaches Association of America story here.

Hong Captures WWGA's National Amateur Title

Jennifer Hong of Windermere, Fla., took home the title at the Women's Western Golf Association's 105th National Amateur June 20-25 at Purdue University's Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex Kampen Course designed by Pete Dye.

Hong, who will be attending Northwestern University in the fall, defeated Onnarin Sattayabanphot 6 & 4 to earn the championship. Hong is an honorable mention Rolex Junior All-American and was also named to the HP Scholastic All-America team in 2004.
