Frederick, Cooper earn medalist honors at TaylorMade-adidas Golf Qualifier
9 boys, 4 girls advance to play in Goodman Networks Junior at Traditions

BRYAN, Texas — Hayden Frederick of Mansfield, Texas, recorded a 70 and claimed medalist honors Wednesday at the TaylorMade-adidas Golf Qualifier for the Goodman Networks Junior at Traditions. In the Girls Division, Hailee Cooper of Montgomery, Texas, medaled after shooting 73 at Traditions Club at Texas A&M.

Conducted by the American Junior Golf Association, the TaylorMade-adidas Golf Qualifier for the Goodman Networks Junior at Traditions was an 18-hole stroke play event held at Traditions Club at Texas A&M. The tournament field featured 76 boys and 24 girls, ages 12-18, from 18 states. The Boys Division played the par-72 course at 6,838 yards, while the Girls Division played the course at 5,894 yards. TaylorMade-adidas Golf Qualifiers give juniors an opportunity to "play their way in" to coinciding AJGA Open tournaments or earn a Tournament Exemption or Performance Star for a future event. The TaylorMade-adidas Golf Qualifier Series offers opportunities for AJGA juniors at approximately 50 AJGA Open events.

Frederick earned Boys Division medalist honors by carding a 70. Also qualifying for the Goodman Networks Junior at Traditions were Stephen Chambers of Houston, Cooper Dossey of Austin, Texas, Dylan Mitchell of Breckenridge, Colo., Thomas Wheeler of The Woodlands, Texas, Patrick Kim of Pleasanton, Calif., David Marin of Bucaramanga, Colombia, Patrick Bailey of Houston, and Richard Le of Bellaire, Texas.

In the Girls Division, Cooper medaled after shooting 73. Also qualifying were Binny Lee of Frisco, Texas, Anna Zhou of Palo Alto, Calif., and Michelle Xie of Palo Alto, Calif.

The Goodman Networks Junior at Traditions will begin Friday with first-round tee times running from 8:15 a.m. — 2:35 p.m. off the Nos. 1 and 10 tees at Traditions Club at Texas A&M. For more information, please contact tournament headquarters at (678) 644-4258, or visit ajga.org.
