QUALIFIER & MEDICUS PRESEASON JUNIOR SERIES
Alternate lists can be viewed at ajga.org.

AJGA OPEN & JUNIOR ALL-STAR CHAMPIONSHIPS
For those championships that have a qualifier, the following applies:

In case of tournament withdrawals, participants who fail to qualify during the AJGA Qualifier with the next best score will be placed on an alternate list. Alternate status will be determined by the following formula:

  • The order of finish in a playoff.
  • Total score on Nos. 1-6 handicap holes on the course scorecard
  • Total score on Nos. 7-12 handicap holes on the course scorecard
  • Lowest individual hole score starting at No. 1 handicap hole until the tie is broken
  • By lot
  • For those championships that do not have a qualifier, the following applies

In case of a tie at any level, priority will be given based on the Performance Based Entry “Breaking Ties” criteria located at ajga.org.

AJGA INVITATIONALS
All Invitational fields and alternates will be determined by the Polo Golf Rankings.
___________________________________________________________________

In any instance an AJGA official will promptly contact each alternate as there becomes a need to fill a spot in the field. Alternate status can be acquired by contacting the Player Services Department prior to the event or the Tournament Director on site at the event.

If the committee becomes aware of a withdrawal prior to a starting time then the committee will try to notify the first, or if the first alternate is not available, the highest available alternate of their starting time.

If the committee is not aware of a withdrawal and a player simply fails to appear for a starting time or arrives after the five minute time period, then the highest available alternate who is ready to play may take that spot.

The Committee HAS adopted the Note to Rule 6-3 as a condition of competition for an alternate late to the tee.
