The first round of the Haas Family Invitational begins Tuesday at Sedgefield Country Club's Donald Ross Course in Greensboro, North Carolina. Here are Three Things to know about the 84-player field.
Gaining momentum
Three players have traveled to Greensboro after finishing in the top five of AJGA events last week. Thomas Hogan of St. Simons Island, Georgia, finished second at the Davis Love III Junior Open , while Devondeep Bling of Ridgecrest, California, was runner-up at the Ryan Moore Junior Championship at Anthem . The second-to-last player to gain entry into the tournament was Varun Chopra of Champaign, Illinois, and he’s coming off a T4 showing at the Under Armour ® / Gary Woodland Championship .
Maintaining momentum
Three players return to Sedgefield Country Club after finishing in the top 10 at the 2015 Haas Family Invitational: Garrett Barber of Stuart, Florida (5th); S.M. Lee of Buford, Georgia (T6); and John Pak of Scotch Plains, New Jersey (T9).
Continuing momentum
The field includes 47 players who have won an AJGA event, and six have won in 2016:
