Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, North Carolina, primarily known for hosting the PGA TOUR Wyndham Championship, is also home to the 2015 FJ Invitational. It is currently the only Donald Ross designed course hosting a regular event on the PGA TOUR and this year marks the seventh time Sedgefield has hosted the FJ Invitational.

The course was established in 1926, and throughout the years, history has been made on these grounds at AJGA and PGA TOUR tournaments. A number of world-class golfers have made their way around the course including many of the participants in the FJ Invitational.

The hole locations and yardages at the FJ Invitational match those of the Wyndham Championship, tallying 7,107 total yards for the juniors. Holes 6 and 14 may prove to be the biggest challenge as the Nos. 1 and 2 handicap holes. A creek crosses the fairway on the 423-yard sixth hole, leaving players with an uphill approach shot. The 497-yard, par-4 14th hole is a dogleg left that demands two long, accurate shots into a large and undulating green.

No. 18, normally played as a par 5 for members, will be converted to a par 4 for the tournament. The 507-yard hole has a downhill tee shot with an approach shot to an elevated green guarded by four bunkers.

Golf fans may remember Patrick Reed’s dramatic playoff win at the Wyndham Championship at Sedgefield in 2013. He caught the rough on No. 10 off the tee but managed to hit an incredible shot to birdie and beat fellow AJGA alumni Jordan Spieth. With such a strong legacy at Sedgefield, the excitement will continue this year at the FJ Invitational.
