The American Junior Golf Association will make its first-ever trip to Rio Grande, Puerto Rico, January 14-17, for the Puerto Rico Junior Open. The tournament will be held on the Championship Course at Trump International Golf Club, and the Boys Division champion will earn a sponsors exemption into the PGA TOURs 2011 Puerto Rico Open presented by seepuertorico.com , giving him the chance to test his game on the professional level.

The Puerto Rico Golf Association, a non-for profit organization founded in 1954 as the governing body of amateur golf, also played an integral role in making this new international event possible.

This tournament will mark the AJGAs first event in Puerto Rico. In 2010, the Association offered playing opportunities in 32 states and Mexico.

With the support of the Puerto Rico Golf Association and Puerto Rico Tourism Company, we are able to further expand our tournament schedule to include another PGA TOUR-caliber course.
