McArthur Towel & Sports Future Legends

"I birdied Nos. 3, 4 and 5, which was good because I bogeyed the first hole," said Emily Tubert of Burbank, Calif., after an even-par 70. 'I made a really good putt on No. 4 and made a decent putt on No. 5. Those three holes got me to 2-under so that was good for my momentum."

"On No. 4, I made a six-footer for par and that put me at 2-under," said Jonathan Garrick of Atherton, Calif., champion of the McArthur Towel & Sports Future Legends with a tournament-total 8-under-par 212. "The next hole I hit a pitching wedge to about 30 feet and made the putt. After that I birdied the par-5 and made a few solid putts coming in."

AJGA New Jersey Junior

“Basically, I did everything I was supposed to do,” said Peter Kim of Metuchen, N.J., after capturing victory with a final-round 4-under-par 67. “I hit a lot of greens, made a lot of putts and had my irons going.”

"It feels great to win,” Kim said. “I just can't explain it because I worked so hard for this. I practiced so many hours and it just feels so great.”

“My whole round was good in general,” said Lauren Kim of Los Altos, Calif., who took home the trophy with a final-round 3-under-par 68. “I only had one bogey. That's never happened before, so that was my highlight.”

AJGA Huntsville Junior presented by the Huntsville Athletic Club

“I hit the fairway, which was the key out here,” said John Russo of Alpharetta, Ga., whose 3-under-par 68 helped him to a fifth place finish. “I thought I was dead after No. 10, but after No. 13 when I used my 4-iron to make birdie I knew I was going to go low. I hit two 20-footers and made a birdie from a fairway bunker which was huge.”

“I am really excited to have broken 200,” said Emma Talley, of Princeton, Ky., who broke two AJGA records and took home the title. “I was hitting the ball really well, making a lot of putts left and right. I was really close on all of my birdie shots. I don’t really know how I was hitting those approach shots so well; I think that God was with me because some of those were miracle shots. I haven’t played that well recently, like at Rolex, but to have this win especially with U.S. Juniors, Canon Cup and my other events this summer my confidence is high. Hopefully I can keep this up for the next few weeks.

Valero Texas Open Junior Shootout presented by Pepsi

“This is my first time winning the Scotty Cameron,” said local player Nick Tremps of San Antonio after carding a 2-under-par 71. “When I saw it on the first tee, I said that I wanted that.”

“I was proud of my putting,” said Girls Division champion Marijosse Navarro of San Antonio. “It was good all three rounds and helped me a lot. The greens here allowed me to putt very well. I felt comfortable putting out there.”

Aldila Junior All-Star

"Today was not my best round, but I scrambled well in tough situations," said Girls Division champion Katelyn Reynolds of Los Angeles.  "It was a tough day mentally and physically with the heat, but I remained consistent and got a win."

"I kept consistent today, all aspects of my game combined to give me a good round," said Christopher Tuulik of San Diego, Calif., after a 2-under-par 70 and third-place finish. "I had an eagle on No. 4 that helped balance out my two bogeys on Nos. 1 and 2."
