Schedule Spotlight: July 8-12

To better prepare AJGA members in the tournament application process, each week we will preview tournaments with upcoming application deadlines. The following tournament applications are now open and will close on Tuesday, June 4, at 5 p.m. ET.

The Valero Texas Open, the third oldest and top charitable tournament on the PGA TOUR, has sponsored the Genesis Shootout since 2004. This year will mark the fourth time the event will be held at Fair Oaks Ranch Golf & Country Club.

The AJGA Annapolis Junior will be played at Old South Country Club in Lothian, Md., July 8–11. Performance Based Entry is projected to fill 62 Boys spots and 19 Girls spots.

Old South Country Club will host the AJGA for the first time. A premier private club, Old South Country Club has hosted several professional and amateur tournaments and qualifiers, including the Mid-Atlantic Tournament of Champions and the Maryland Men’s Open.

The AJGA Junior at Ruby Hill will be played at Ruby Hill Golf Club in Pleasanton, Calif., July 8–11. Performance Based Entry is projected to fill 49 Boys spots and 20 Girls spots.

The McArthur Towel & Sports Future Legends will be played at The Legends at Brandybrook in Wales, Wis., July 9–12. Performance Based Entry is projected to fill 59 Boys spots and 18 Girls spots.

The tournament will return to The Legends at Brandybrook for the first time since 2008. The event was previously held at Brandybrook’s sister course, The Legends at Bristlecone.

Leadership Links

What is Leadership Links?

Leadership Links is a new program whereby the AJGA is able to further its mission to help develop young men and women by teaching charitable giving skills and service-oriented practices at an early age. This program gives juniors all the tools necessary to donate their time, talent and resources to local charities and the AJGA youth development programs.
