USGA Junior Championships deadlines approaching

The United States Golf Association invites all competitive junior amateur players to attempt to qualify for the 2013 U.S. Junior Amateur Championship and the U.S. Girls’ Junior Championship, which will be contested in July.
 
All entries ($25), which must be completed by a parent and/or guardian, must be filed online.
 
The dates of each championship are July 22-27, 2013. The U.S. Junior Amateur will be played at Martis Camp Club in Truckee, Calif., while the U.S. Girls’ Junior will be played at Sycamore Hills Golf Club in Fort Wayne, Ind.
 
Sectional qualifying at numerous sites across the country will be held June 10 through July 2 for the Junior Amateur and Ju ne 14 through July 2 for the Girls’ Junior.
 
Both championships are open to amateur golfers who will not have reached their 18th birthday on or before July 27, 2013. Applicants must also meet USGA Handicap Index® requirements, which are listed on the entry form. Entries for both championships close on Wed., May 29 at 5 p.m. EDT.
