Masters
Bubba Watson won the Masters for the second time in three years, closing with a 3-under-par 69 to defeat Masters rookies Jordan Spieth and Jonas Blixt. Watson finished the tournament at 8-under-par 280.

Watson played in AJGA events for six years, from 1992—1997. He competed in events including the Natural Resource Partners Bluegrass Junior, the Rolex Tournament of Champions and the Polo Golf Junior Classic, compiling more than 14 top-10 AJGA finishes. Watson was victorious twice in his junior career with wins at the 1993 ICS Gateway Junior Classic and the 1993 Port Armour Junior. He earned Rolex Junior All-America honors in 1995, 1996 and 1997. Watson competed at the Wyndham Cup where he helped the East win in 1996 and 1997.

In his Masters debut, Spieth began the day tied with Watson at 5-under-par. After birdies on Nos. 2 and 4, Spieth moved two strokes ahead of Watson, taking sole possession of the lead at Augusta. Watson responded with birdies at Nos. 8 and 9, and the two battled for possession until Watson assumed a three-stroke lead heading to No. 14.

Spieth tied for second at 5-under-par 283.

The 2009 Rolex Junior Player of the Year collected five AJGA victories including wins at both the 2008 and 2010 PING Invitational. He closed his AJGA career with a win at the 2011 CB&I Boys Championship at Carlton Woods, the same year he won his second U.S. Junior Amateur Championship, having previously won in 2009. He became only the second player to earn two titles at the U.S. Junior Amateur Championship behind Tiger Woods (1991-92).

 
The three-time Rolex Junior All-American received his first amateur exemption in 2010 for the HP Byron Nelson Classic making him the first player since 1995 to receive an amateur exemption into the event. Spieth finished his first PGA TOUR start in the top 20 at T16. 
 

Spieth played his college career at the University of Texas where he helped the Longhorns win the 2012 NCAA Men’s Division I Golf National Championship, before turning professional in December 2012.

Spieth returns to the AJGA in 2014 as tournament host of the Under Armour® / Jordan Spieth Championship presented by American Campus Communities , August 11-14, at The University of Texas Golf Club in Austin, Tex.

For the second time in 2014, Carlos Ortiz was victorious on the Web.com Tour.  The 22-year-old AJGA alum became the first Mexican-born player to win the El Bosque Mexico Championship. Ortiz fired rounds of 74-67-66-68—275, putting him two shots ahead of former University of Alabama standout and two-time Rolex Junior All-American

Justin Thomas.

Ortiz playedin seven AJGA events from 2006-08, finishing in the top 20 three times. His best finish was fourth place at the 2008 Mayakoba Junior Golf Classic. Ortiz captured his first Web.com Tour win at the Panama Claro Championship in March.
