AJGA alum Ben Kohles won the Dogwood Invitational, held June 25-30 at Druid Hills Golf Club. Kohles closed his final round of 5-under-par 67 with a five-foot birdie putt on No. 18 to edge the competition by two strokes for a tournament total of 17-under-par 271.

the event in 2007.
Kohles recently
completed a successful collegiate career at the University of Virginia. He distinguished
himself as the winningest player in the Cavalier programs history with seven victories,
including a career-ending win at the 2012 ACC Championships.
Kohles competed in
six AJGA events and received honorable mention as a Rolex Junior All-American
in 2008. He won the 2008 Carolinas Amateur Championship and led the Green Hope
High School golf team to consecutive 4A state championship titles.
Two former AJGA
players tied for second at the Dogwood Invitational with a 15-under-par 273.
Michael Kim, a rising sophomore at UC-Berkeley, posted a final-round 4-under-par
68. Kohles former teammate Bruce
