Since the inaugural tournament, 12 players from six countries have been crowned champions, and the list of runner-ups includes major champion Rory McIlroy and 2012 Thunderbird International Junior winner Max Orrin of England.

In 2012, Gavin Hall of Pittsford, N.Y., and Casey Danielson of Osceola, Wis., made the trip across the Atlantic to represent the U.S. Hall closed with a 4-over-par 76 to tie for 13th at 17-over-par 233 and Danielson finished two strokes behind for a share of 17th place at 19-over-par 235.
