Shun Yat Hak of Lake Mary, Fla., continues to make
headlines as the top player in the Polo Golf Rankings. In February, the Hong Kong native achieved his
fifth career AJGA title after winning the HP Boys Championship at Carlton
Woods. Named one of ESPNs Elite Eight
of rising athletes, Hak has received wide-spread attention as one of the top
junior golfers to watch. Last week, Golfweeks Sean Martin spent a day with
Hak and his swing coach to learn more about the swing that has taken him to the
top.
Hak won his first AJGA event in 2009 at the TaylorMade-adidas
Golf Junior at Innisbrook hosted by Sean OHair. Throughout his AJGA career,
Hak has finished in the top five in 14 events, and is a three-time Rolex Junior
All-American. In 2011, he collected wins
at the Rolex Tournament of Champions and again at the TaylorMade-adidas Golf
Junior at Innisbrook hosted by Sean OHair.
Hak, who committed to Georgia Tech, has appeared in four UBS Hong Kong
Opens and in 2010, he won the Florida Azalea Amateur.
Hak will make his fourth appearance at the Thunderbird
International Junior in Scottsdale, Ariz., from May 25-28, 2012.
